Put The Kitchen Sink First

Make a point of sanitizing your kitchen sink every day. Put the plug into the drain hole and fill your sink with water. Pour a capful of bleach into that water, and let the mixture sit for around 20 minutes, then remove the plug and let the water drain away. Doing this every day will kill any germs and keep your sink looking, and smelling nice. Remember, you prepare food in the kitchen so you want it to be hygienic!

Scrub The Stove Too

If you are struggling with stubborn stains on your stovetop, then treat it with a small amount of baking soda and vinegar. Apply the mixture to the stained area, then scrub it to remove any gunk. You can do the same with the burner covers because it is not unusual for those metal components to end up covered in grime. Fill the sink with dish soap and hot water, put the metal components in the water and let them soak for an hour before washing them and scrubbing them with a brush. You should find that the grime just fades away when you wash the components. If it doesn’t go after one wash, repeat the process until you have sparkling clean burners.

Have a Bed Sheet Washing Routine

It’s a good idea to get into a routine when it comes to washing your bed sheets. Aim to wash them at least once per week. Clean the mattress too by sprinkling baking soda on it then letting it soak in for at least 30 minutes. Next, carefully vacuum the baking soda away using a handheld vacuum cleaner. Don’t let dirt build up on your bedding, because the combination of dust and oil can attract dust mites.

Set a Simple Schedule

Try to find a schedule that works for you. Aim to tackle one room a day, or even just a few small tasks, so that you always know that you have gotten something done. Contact your local Think Maids, if you just can’t get the time to do the cleaning. We’ll do it for you.
